Spending the day in bed

shapeimage_2-7At around 04 I woke from some bizarre dream and felt a bit uneasy. Apparently the noodles I got last night were my bane and within 30 minutes I was spending my time in the bathroom loosing water in every possible way. At 07 I took some Dimor and while not feeling well at least Mona hadn’t thrown up.

The day was spent more or less in bed, and not in that romantic/cozy way. Eventually also Mona got ill but it seemed that we would get better towards the evening. I also lost access to the iPad by draining it totally and with the only charger I brought with me (0,5A, not the 2A it requires) it seems to get stuck in a boot-up loop. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day…

Knickers off in Kumily

shapeimage_2-6After checking out from the resort our favorite driver took us to Munnar town where we would get on the bus to Kumily. The bus did arrive in time, left 30 minutes after schedule but by and large it was a rather uneventful trip despite the narrow roads and reckless drivers we met.

In Kumily we got ourselves a nice room at El Paradisio for 1000 Rs after some haggling, not bad. We decided to treat ourselves some Ayurveda massages and went to Arya which were recommended. My masseur put me in that awkward moment when you’ve dressed down to your boxers and aren’t sure whether to carry on very short – when I asked if I ought to keep my boxers he simply smiled, bent down and removed my boxers. One hour and 600 Rs later we left and will most likely pay the place additional visits during our stay.

Another day of slacking

shapeimage_2-5After breakfast at the resort we packed our bags for another excursion, this time a bit downriver from the waterfall. Armed with cookies and mango juice we made our way do the dried out section and I practiced my monkey skills while Mona was sunbathing.

In the evening we headed in to town and tried out SN Restaurant, which was highly recommended in Lonely Planet and we have to agree – their Chicken Butter Masala was truly delicious. The Paneer one I had was good as well but the chicken was undecidedly better.
